The following section gives you an example of how you can cable a cluster that has three or four disk shelf loops. The example in this section is of an F840 cluster with DS14 disk shelves and FC-AL adapters. You can cable an F810, F820, F825, or F880 cluster in a similar fashion. You can also cable any one of these clusters with FC7, FC8, or FC9 disk shelves in a similar fashion.
The dashed line in this figure between the disk shelf on the upper right and the partner node on the left shows the first completed Channel B loop.
The dashed line in this figure between the disk shelf on the lower right and the partner node on the left shows the second completed Channel B loop in this cluster.
The dashed line in this figure between the disk shelf on the lower left and the local node on the right shows the third completed Channel B loop in this cluster.
The dashed line in this figure between the disk shelf on the lower right and the local node on the left shows the first completed Channel B loop.
The dashed line in this figure between the disk shelf on the upper right and the local node on the left shows the second completed Channel B loop in this cluster.
The dashed line in this figure between the disk shelf on the lower left and the partner node on the right shows the third completed Channel B loop in this cluster.
The dashed line in this figure between the disk shelf on the upper left and the partner node on the right shows the fourth completed Channel B loop in this cluster.
