About adding a disk shelf

You can add a DS14 or DS14mk2 FC disk shelf to a cluster that is made up of DS14 disk shelves without powering down your cluster. This enables you to add disk shelves without a service interruption, up to the total amount of storage your cluster supports. See the NOW Web page at http://now.netapp.com for the amount of storage your cluster can support.

Caution
You cannot mix disk shelf types with DS14/DS14mk2 FC disk shelves containing ESH modules. All disk shelves in that loop must be DS14/DS14mk2 FC disk shelves with ESH modules.
