Cabling a MetroClusters with QuickLoop

This section describes how to configure and cable a MetroCluster using Quickloop. MetroClusters installed after the release of Data ONTAP 6.4.1 are Fabric Attached MetroClusters. See Cabling a new Fabric Attached MetroCluster for instructions about cabling a Fabric Attached MetroCluster.

Before you begin  

To cable a MetroClusters with QuickLoop, you must be familiar with clustering concepts, the Brocade command-line interface, and synchronous mirroring. You must also have the following information:

• Unique domain IDs for the switches
• Ethernet IP address
• Ethernet subnetmask
• Gateway address

  Note
  If the nodes in your cluster are separated by less than 500 meters, see System requirements for mirrored clusters for a list of required hardware, software, settings, and setup information.
