Cabling the cluster adapters

To cable the cluster adapters, complete the following steps, using the diagram for reference. The FAS940 and FAS960 use the IB cluster adapter in slot 6. The FAS980 uses your NVRAM5 adapter in slot 11 as the cluster interconnect adapter.

Step	Action
1	Plug one end of the optical cable into one of the local node's cluster adapter ports, then plug the other end into the corresponding partner node's cluster adapter port.
2	Repeat Step 1 for the remaining port on the cluster adapter.
3	Gently pull on the cable ends to ensure that they are properly seated.
4	Go to Chapter 4, Configuring the Cluster.
