Replacing the cooling fans and blower
About the cooling fans
The R150 disk shelf uses two 60 mm cooling fans and one blower mounted at the rear of the disk shelf enclosure to help provide adequate airflow and cooling.
Rules for replacing the fans and blower
When replacing a fan or blower, observe the following rules:
- You do not need to turn off the power when replacing the blower or two cooling fans as these components are hot swappable.
- If you are replacing a fan or blower in the disk shelf with the power on, replace them one at a time.
