You can connect through either of the following GbE connections:

To connect the storage engine to a single-port duplex fiber optic GbE connection, complete the following step.

Step	Action
1	Push the duplex fiber optic cable with the single-port SC connector into the ports on the NIC, until it clicks and locks into place, as shown in the following figure.

To connect your storage engine to a dual-port fiber optic GbE connector, complete the following step.

Step	Action
1	Push the duplex fiber optic cable with the duplex fiber optic LC connector into the port on the NIC, until it clicks and locks into place. Repeat this step to connect another network to the second port, as shown in the following figure.
