Verifying that the iSCSI service is running

To verify that the iSCSI service is running, complete the following step.

1	Enter the following command: iscsi status Result A message is displayed indicating whether iSCSI service is running. Note If the iSCSI service is not running, verify that the iSCSI license is enabled and start the service.

To verify that the iSCSI service is licensed, complete the following step.

1	Enter the following command: license Result A list of all available licenses appears. An enabled license shows the license code.

To enable the iSCSI license, complete the following step.

1	Enter the following command: license add license_code license_code is the license code you received from NetApp when you purchased the iSCSI license.

To start or stop the iSCSI service, complete the following step.

To display the filer's node name, complete the following step.

To change the filer's node name, complete the following step.

To display a list of initiators connected to the filer, complete the following step.

1	Enter the following command: iscsi show initiator Result The filer console displays the initiators currently connected to the filer and the portal groups to which they are connected.
