Changing the lifetime of mapping entries

The default lifetime of SID-to-name mapping entries is 1440, which is 24 hours. Lifetime is expressed in minutes.

To change the lifetime of mapping entries, complete the following step.

1	Enter the following command: options cifs.sidcache.lifetime time time represents the number of minutes that new mapping entries are used before they expire.
