Deleting quotas
About quota deletion
You can remove quota restrictions for a quota target in two ways:
- Delete the /etc/quotas entry pertaining to the quota target.
- Change the /etc/quotas entry so that there is no restriction on the amount of disk space or the number of files owned by the quota target. After the change, Data ONTAP continues to keep track of the disk space and the number of files owned by the quota target but stops imposing the restrictions on the quota target. The procedure for removing quota restrictions in this way is the same as that for resizing an existing quota.
