Effects of filer reboot on vFilers

Effects of filer reboot on protocols  Top

The disallow or allow state of a vFiler is persistent across reboots. For example, if you disallow NFS for a vFiler and then reboot the filer, NFS remains disallowed for the vFiler after the reboot.

If you disallow CIFS, NFS, or iSCSI for a vFiler when the protocol is enabled, rebooting the filer disables the protocol for the vFiler. If you allow the protocol again after a reboot, you must reenable the protocol.

Rebooting the filer causes all stopped vFilers to enter the running state. For example, if you stop a vFiler and then reboot the filer, the vFiler starts running again after the reboot.
