FC-AL adapter combinations

About this section

The following section gives you examples of how you can configure either your FC-AL or dual Fibre Channel adapters in your F800 series cluster. The examples in this section are of F840 clusters. However, the F840 and F880 filers have specific slots that can be used, that are not available on other F800 series filers.

The following illustration shows four FC-AL adapters in each filer. It is an example of one way four FC-AL adapters can be arranged in your cluster.
