Step 2: Cabling the new disk shelf

To cable the new disk shelf to the existing Channel A and B loops, complete the following steps.

Cable the last disk shelf Channel A LRC/ESH Output port to the new disk shelf Channel A LRC/ESH input port. Label the cable with a solid-colored label.

Cable the last disk shelf Channel B LRC/ESH Output port to the new disk shelf Channel B LRC/ESH Input port. Label this cable with a striped label.

Set both terminate switches on the new disk shelf to On.

Set both terminate switches on the previous disk shelf to Off.

Reenable negotiated failover in your cluster by entering the following command from the node console:

cf nfo enable disk_shelf

Go to Testing the LRC/ESH modules.
