Cabling your system into a mirrored cluster

Required tools and manuals  

You need the following tools and guides to prepare your system cabinets or equipment racks for mirrored clustering:

• The 42U System Cabinet Guide or the F800 Series Hardware Guide
• The Data Protection Guide and the System Administrator's Guide
• The appropriate Fibre Channel disk shelf guide
• #1 and #2 Phillips screwdrivers

Required cables  

When you received your system cabinets or nodes and disk shelves for installation in equipment racks, you should have received the disk shelf cables listed in the following table:

You should also receive cluster interconnect cables, one pair for the cluster interconnect adapter or one optical cable for the VI cluster adapter. If your cluster will be farther apart than 30 meters, you must use an SC-SC Duplex 50/125 plenum cable to connect them.
