To connect a third-party SCSI tape backup device to the filer, complete the following steps.

Connect the cable provided with the tape device to the following points of connection:

    1. The appropriate port on the back panel of your filer
    2. The port on the tape device

Tighten each end of the cable.

Terminate any open port on the tape backup device with an active SCSI terminator.
