Connecting the filer to an Ethernet network

The filer has one onboard 10Base-T/100Base-TX Ethernet port. It also supports the following Ethernet network interface cards (NICs):

Quad-port 10Base-T/100Base-TX NIC
10Base-T/100Base-TX/1000Base-T Gigabit Ethernet (GbE) NIC, with an RJ45 connection
GbE NIC, with a fiber optic connection
