Step 2: Enabling licenses

About licenses on the cluster  Top

License activation enables the cluster to run software that is installed on the cluster. For clustering, you must enable the cluster license at bring up.

Licenses for mirrored clusters  Top

If you are setting up a mirrored cluster, you must also enable the Local SyncMirror license for synchronous mirroring. If you are setting up a cluster with nodes in separate locations, you must also enable the Cluster Remote license.

Other licenses  Top

There are other licenses that you can set, depending on what licensed software is installed on the cluster. The process for enabling each license is the same. See the System Administrator's Guide for additional licenses you can set.
