• Removing a power supply from a disk shelf
• Installing a power supply in a disk shelf

Rules for replacing power supplies  

When replacing a disk shelf power supply, observe the following rules:

• You do not need to turn off the power when you replace one of the two power supplies.
• If you are replacing both power supplies in the same disk shelf, replace them one at a time to avoid powering down the disk shelf.
