Equipment you should receive

In addition to this guide, your R200 contains the following components:

One storage engine and bezel
A minimum of 8 TB of ATA-to-Fibre Channel storage
42U storage equipment cabinet, or the rack mounting hardware and installation kit for telco-type equipment rack installation.
A DB-9 to DB-9 straight-through serial cable and a DB-9 to RJ-45 adapter for an ASCII terminal connection
LC/LC storage engine-to-disk shelf cables
HSSDC2 disk shelf-to-disk shelf cables
A disposable antistatic grounding leash
User manuals
Disk shelf and storage engine power cables
Cabinet power cable sets with IEC or NEMA plugs (for systems sold with a storage cabinet)

To install the R200 components in an equipment rack, you need the following tools and equipment:

Phillips screwdrivers (#0, #1, and #2)
#10-32 steel screws for fastening the storage engine to the rack
Antistatic wrist strap and grounding leash
Caution
The R200 uses electronic components that are sensitive to static electricity. Static discharge from your clothing or other fixtures around you can damage these components. Always wear an antistatic wrist strap and attach the grounding leash so that you are appropriately grounded before touching any electronic components.

To configure your system, you need the following equipment on site:

ASCII terminal (also referred to as an ANSI terminal) or serial console
Communications server
Null modem cable (optional if the DB-9 to DB-9 serial cable for an ASCII terminal connection is not compatible with your terminal connector.)
