Connecting a Fibre Channel switch

To connect a third-party Fibre Channel switch to your storage engine, complete the following steps.

Step	Action
1	Connect the cable provided with the Fibre Channel switch to the following points of connection: The appropriate port on the back panel of your storage engine An available port on the Fibre Channel switch
2	When connecting to a dual-channel Fibre Channel adapter in your storage engine, insert the duplex fiber optic cable into Port 1 and the LC loopback plug into Port 2 until they click and lock into place.
