To install a disk in a disk shelf, complete the following steps.

While grounded, insert the disk drive carrier into the guide slot in the disk shelf and firmly push it in until it engages the backplane. The locking lever begins to swing upward when the drive is seated.
Caution Do not slam the device carrier into place.

Swing the locking lever upward and push it into place until it locks.
