To remove a power supply from a disk shelf, complete the following steps.

Put on the antistatic wrist strap and grounding leash.

Turn off the power supply that you are replacing and disconnect the AC power cord.
Note SES and fan messages are displayed on the console when you turn off the power to the power supply. This is normal, and continue until the power supply is turned back on.

Press the cam mechanism levers toward each other to release the power supply handle, as shown in the following illustration.

Pull the power supply out of the disk shelf, using the handle.
WARNING When removing a power supply, always use two hands to support its weight.
