Displaying information about HBAs
How to display HBA information
You can display information and manage HBAs in a variety of ways, depending on what you are trying to accomplish. For some commands, you can display additional information by using the -v flag, or you can specify which adapter to display information about by entering the adapter number (either the number of the slot it is installed in, or the slot and port number).
The display will vary, depending on the FCP cfmode setting, and the filer model. The examples of output generated by commands in this chapter assume you are using an FAS960 in standby mode.

Displaying vtic statistics in partner mode
When the FCP cfmode setting is in partner mode, a virtual target interconnect (vtic) adapter handles the initiator requests. You use the fcp stats vtic command to display vtic adapter statistics. You can use the igroup show command to verify that vtic appears in the output, which indicates that the initiator is logged in to the partner port.
Displaying the HBA's WWNN
To display the WWNN of a target HBA, complete the following step.
Step
|
Action
|
|
1 |
Enter the following command:
fcp nodename
Result
Fibre Channel nodename: 50:a9:80:00:02:00:8d:b2 (50a9800002008db2)
