Restoring files to a primary storage system from tape

To perform a SnapVault restore to an NFS or CIFS primary storage system from tape, complete the following steps.

Mount the tape that has the files that need to be restored.

Use the restore command to restore from the tape to the SnapVault secondary storage system. See the Data Protection: Tape Backup and Recovery Guide for details.

Copy the files from the SnapVault secondary storage system to the NFS or CIFS primary storage system. See Restoring a directory or file for details.
