Enabling or disabling NDMP service

What enabling NDMP service does

Enabling NDMP service on your filer allows NDMP-compliant data protection applications to communicate with the filer.

To enable or disable NDMP service, complete the following step.

Step	Action
1	Enter the following command: ndmpd {on\|off} Use `on` to enable NDMP. Use `off` to disable NDMP. After you enter `ndmpd off`, the filer continues processing all requests on already established sessions, but rejects new sessions.

Note
The setting of the ndmpd on|off command is persistent across reboots.
