The following sections discuss upgrade issues that you should be aware of if you are upgrading from releases earlier than Data ONTAP 6.4.

Macintosh resource.frk files affected

If your filer is accessed by Macintosh computers using the DAVE^TM client from Thursby Systems, the DAVE client starts using the new streams feature when Data ONTAP 6.4 or later is installed. Information that was stored in special resource.frk files is lost. To solve this problem, you should run the na_macstream conversion utility from a Windows client after the upgrade is completed and before DAVE clients access any files.
