FilerView Help system |
FilerView contains a Help system to guide you in the tasks you need to manage your filer. The Help system is comprised of the following categories:
Top-level Help
Subtopic Help
Pop-up Help
FilerView Topics Help
Field Help
Each major topic level on the left-hand frame (such as Filer, CIFS, NFS, and so on) contains a question-mark Help icon. This type of Help contains general information about that topic.
Each subtopic level on the left-hand frame (such as Manage Shares under the CIFS label) contains a question-mark icon in the upper right-hand corner of the screen. This type of Help contains information specific to that screen, the management tasks that are available, and specific field-level information for any fields that exist on that screen.
Within the right-hand, main frame of Help, occasionally there might be links that consist of additional information on the topic. When you click one of these links, a new page pops up with the related information.
The FilerView Topics link can be found on the top-level Help topic pages. When you click the link, a new page is displayed in the right-hand frame, listing all Help topics contained within the FilerView Help system.
Each link on the FilerView Topics page is displayed in a separate page with its own navigational links related to that subject.
When performing tasks on a page that contains fields, in most cases a question-mark icon to the right of the field provides field-level Help: a description of the field, the allowable parameters for the field, and other field-related information.
