What FilerView is

The FilerView administration tool is provided to manage your filer through a standard Web browser. Using FilerView, you choose the portion of the filer that you want to manage, configure, or monitor; for example:

• Viewing the filer's system configuration

• Managing disks

• Managing aggregates

• Managing volumes

Note When you use FilerView, FilerView accesses the filer as root, regardless of the user account used to log in to FilerView. You cannot restrict administrative access to the filer for administrators using FilerView.
