In the CIFS Options page, you can perform the following procedure:

Setting CIFS Options

To set CIFS options, complete the following steps:

  1. In the Idle Timeout field, enter the number of seconds (between 600 and 4 million) that the filer waits before disconnecting an idle session.

  2. In the Enable Oplocks field, select Yes to enable opportunistic locks or No to disable locks.

  3. In the NetBIOS Aliases field, enter optional alternate NetBIOS names (separated by commas) for the filer that users can connect to.

  4. In the Scope ID field, enter the optional NetBIOS scope ID to be used when using NetBIOS over TCP/IP (NMT module). This option is not recommended if you are using DNS for name resolution.

  5. In the Show Snapshot field, select Yes to show the ~snapshot directories in folders or No to hide the directories.

  6. When you are finished, click Apply to save the configuration.
