DAFS license

The Direct Access File System (DAFS) protocol defines a set of file access and management operations similar to Network File System (NFSv4), but optimized for the local file-sharing and clustered environments.

The filer requires a software license to enable DAFS services. Network Appliance provides you with the appropriate license codes when shipping you your filer or software from the factory, or when giving you instructions for obtaining the software over the Internet.
