Using FilerView to manage your filer

Entering the filer password

When you open FilerView, the browser prompts you for the filer password. This password is the filer password you created during the filer's initial setup. When you use FilerView, it is recommended that you use an eight-character filer password.

Even if you did not specify a filer password during setup, you must press Enter or click OK in the FilerView Password Entry dialog box if you want to use FilerView.

When changes in FilerView take effect

In general, changes you make in FilerView take effect immediately and persist across reboots. Exceptions are noted in the online help files.
