Manage Volumes

The Manage Volumes page displays the following information:

• Name - Volume name

• Status - Online, Offline, or Restricted, plus one or more other states.

• Root - A check indicates that the volume is a root volume. (The default is to have a flexible volume as the root volume.)

• Containing Aggregate - If the volume is a flexible volume, the aggregate that contains it

• Avail - Available unused storage on the volume

• Used - Percentage of the volume being used

• Total - Total storage on the volume

• Files - Number of files stored in the volume

• Max Files - The maximum number of files that can be stored in this volume

From the Manage Volumes window you can perform the following tasks:

• Take existing volumes online and offline

• Restrict data access to one or more existing volumes

• Destroy an existing volume

• Modify volume parameters

• Show details of the RAID configuration (traditional volumes only)

• Add disks to an existing traditional volume

• Resize the storage of an existing flexible volume

• Rename an existing volume
