Manage Qtrees

To create a qtree on an existing volume of the filer, complete the following steps:

1. In the top left corner of the Manage Qtrees page, click Add Qtree.
   
   Result: The Add Qtree page is displayed.

2. In the Volume field, use the drop-down list to select the name of the volume on which you want to create the qtree.

3. In the Qtree Name field, enter the name of the qtree you are creating.

4. In the Security Style field, use the drop-down list to select the security style you want to use for this qtree. 

5. In the Oplocks field, select the Oplocks check box to enable oplocks.

6. Click Add to create the qtree.

To modify an existing qtree, complete the following steps:

1. From the Manage Qtrees page, click the qtree you want to modify.
   
   Result: The Modify Qtrees page is displayed. The Volume and Qtree Name fields are for display only and cannot be changed.

2. In the Security Style field, select the type of security you want to have for this qtree.

3. In the Oplocks field, select the check box if you want to enable oplocks for this qtree.

4. Click Apply to save the configuration changes.
