Connecting your gateway HBAs

HBA cabling requirements

The following types of cables and connectors are required for connecting a gateway HBA:

To connect a gateway HBA, complete the following steps.

Note
The GF270c has onboard Fibre Channel HBA ports.

Step	Action
1	Connect the cable into an appropriate port on your storage subsystem.
2	Push the cable with the duplex LC connector into the appropriate port on the dual-channel HBA, until it clicks and locks into place.
3	Repeat Steps 1 and 2 for the second port on your gateway HBA. Note If the second port of your HBA is not used, add a loopback, as described in Step 4 of the procedure Connecting to a switch.
