gFiler metrics for LUNs

Maximum and minimum number of LUNs per gFiler

The following table shows the maximum number of LUNs on the storage subsystem that the gFiler can support and the minimum number of LUNs that the gFiler requires.

GF825	84	A gFiler other than a GF270c must own at least one LUN. A cluster configuration must own at least two LUNs, one for each CPU module.

LUN sizes

The gateway has restrictions on the maximum and minimum size LUN supported.

Maximum LUN size

The maximum LUN size the gFiler supports is 500 GB.

Minimum LUN size

The minimum LUN size that the gFiler supports is 1 GB.
