Adding your gateway to the host list on your storage subsystem

About adding your gateway  Top

You must create a host group for each HBA port you plan to make a connection from to your storage subsystem.

Because formatting LUNS takes time to complete, you should first create a dummy host, which you use to create and format LUNs prior to assigning them to the actual gFiler gateways. You can do this before your gateway is installed. For more details, go to Adding LUNs.
