Connecting to a third-party Fibre Channel switch

Shut down the appliance by entering the following command at the console:

halt

Caution
Always use the halt command to perform a clean shutdown.

Turn off the power to the appliance.

Connect the cable to the following points of connection:

• The Fibre Channel port (orange) on the CPU module at the back panel of your appliance
• An available port on the Fibre Channel switch
