How to change a storage system's computer account password

About changing the storage system's domain account password  Top

The cifs.weekly_W2K_password_change option, when set to on, causes a storage system belonging to a Windows Active Directory domain to change its domain password once a week. The password change occurs at approximately 1:00 a.m. on Sunday. The default is off.

The CIFS command cifs changefilerpwd instructs the storage system (either in an Active Directory domain or an NT4 Domain) to change its domain account password immediately.

For more information, see the cifs_changepassword(1) and options(1) man pages.
