Quota reports are available in these formats:
For more information, see Default format.
For more information, see Report format with quota report -q.
This option is valid only if MultiStore is licensed.
For more information, see Report format with quota report -u.
For more information, see Report format with quota report -x.
The information contained in the ID and Quota Specifier fields can vary according to these factors:
In general, the ID field of the quota report displays a user name instead of a UID or SID; however, the following exceptions apply:
The quota report command without options generates the default format for the ID and Quota Specifier fields.
If a quota target contains only one ID, the ID field displays that ID. Otherwise, the ID field displays one of the IDs from the list.
The ID field displays information in the following formats:
The Quota Specifier field displays an ID that matches the one in the ID field. The ID is displayed the same way the quota target is specified in the /etc/quotas file.
The following table shows what is displayed in the ID and Quota Specifier fields based on the quota target in the /etc/quotas file.
The quota report -q command displays the quota target's UNIX UID or GID in numeric form. Data ONTAP does not perform a lookup of the name associated with the target ID.
For Windows IDs, the textual form of the SID is displayed.
UNIX UIDs and GIDs are displayed as numbers. Windows SIDs are displayed as text.
The format of the report generated using the quota report -s command is the same as the default format, except that the soft limit columns are included.
The format of the report generated using the quota report -t command is the same as the default format, except that the threshold column is included.
The format of the report generated using the quota report -v command is the same as the default format, except that the vFiler column is included. This format is available only if MultiStore is licensed.
The quota report -u command is useful if you have quota targets that have multiple IDs. It provides more information in the ID and Quota Specifier fields than the default format.
If a quota target consists of multiple IDs, the first ID is listed on the first line of the quota report for that entry. The other IDs are listed on the lines following the first line, one ID per line. Each ID is followed by its original quota specifier, if any. Without this option, only one ID is displayed for quota targets with multiple IDs.
Note
You cannot combine the -u and -x options.
The ID field displays all the IDs listed in the quota target of a user quota in the following format:
The Quota Specifier field displays the same list of IDs as specified in the quota target.
The following table shows what is displayed in the ID and Quota Specifier fields based on the quota target in the /etc/quotas file. In this example, the SID maps to the user name NT\js.
The quota report -x command report format is similar to the report displayed by the quota report -u command, except that quota report -x displays all the quota target's IDs on the first line of that quota target's entry, as a comma separated list. The threshold column is included.
Note
You cannot combine the -x and -u options.
