Modify Adapter

To modify the status of an adapter, complete the following steps.

1. If you want to make the adapter offline, click the Down Adapter link on the top of the window.
   
   If you want to make the adapter online, click the Up Adapter link on the top of the window.
   
   A confirmation box asking you to confirm the action is displayed in both of the above cases.

2.  Click OK.

Note: You can modify the media type of only FCP adapters.

To modify the media type of an adapter, complete the following steps.

1. Click the Down Adapter link to make the adapter offline.

2. Select the media type from the Media Type list.
   
   You can select from Point-to-Point, Auto, and Loop. 

Note: Setting the link to point-to-point in a loop configuration can prevent the loop from coming up properly.

3.  Click Apply.

Note: You can modify the partner adapter of only FCP adapters.

To modify the partner adapter of an adapter, complete the following steps.

1. If you want to configure a partner for the adapter, select the partner adapter from the Partner Interface list.
   
   If you want to remove a partner for the adapter, select the blank value from the Partner Interface list.

2.  Click Apply.
