Adding iSCSI Portal Groups

To add an iSCSI target portal group, complete the following steps:

  1. From the Manage iSCSI Portal Groups page, click Add a Portal Group.

    2. The Add a Portal Group page appears.

  2. Specify a name for the new target portal group.

  3. If you want to assign a tag for the target portal group, specify a tag between 1 and 256. Otherwise, leave the field black and allow Data ONTAP to assign a tag automatically.

    4. Note: If you specify a tag that has already been assigned, Data ONTAP generates an error alerting you to the invalid tag assignment.

  4. If you want to add interfaces to the target portal group when the group is created, select the interface from the displayed list. You do not have to select interfaces in order to create the target portal group.

  5. Click Add.

    6. The target portal group is created. To see the new target portal group, go to the left navigation pane and click Manage Portal Groups.
