iSCSI Report

Note: You must have the iSCSI license installed and iSCSI enabled to view the iSCSI report.

The iSCSI Report page displays iSCSI status and statistics as described in the following table:

iSCSI Report Section

Description

iSCSI status

Displays current status of the iSCSI service.

iSCSI nodename

Displays the current iSCSI nodename of the filer. Under the iSCSI protocol, each iSCSI entity has an iSCSI node name that is unique within the operational domain of the end user. This is a logical name that is not linked to an IP address. Only targets and initiators are iSCSI entities. Switches, routers, and ports are TCP/IP devices only and do not have iSCSI node names.

iSCSI alias

Displays the current iSCSI alias of the filer, if an alias has been assigned. An alias is a user-friendly string that identifies an iSCSI target device (in this case, the filer) in host-side user interfaces instead of the nodename.

iSCSI portal show

Displays a list of the target portals over which the filer makes the iSCSI service available. Each entry lists the target portal's IP address, TCP port, target portal group, and interface.

iSCSI statistics

Displays current iSCSI statistics for the interval since the counts were last zeroed. Statistics include the number of different iSCSI PDU types transmitted and received, SCSI CDBs processed, and any iSCSI errors that have occurred.

Note: You cannot zero iSCSI statistics from this page. To zero iSCSI statistics for the filer, issue iscsi stats -z from the command line. To access the command line from FilerView, go to the left navigation pane and select Filer > Use Command Line.
