The Disk Space Soft Limit field specifies the amount of disk space that the quota target can use before a warning is issued. If the quota target exceeds the soft limit, a warning message is logged to the filer console and an SNMP trap is generated. When the soft disk limit returns to normal, another syslog message and an SNMP trap are generated.
If you specify both a disk space hard limit and a disk space soft limit, the disk space hard limit value should be greater than or equal to the disk space soft limit value.
You can specify a disk space soft limit without specifying a disk space hard limit.
Values can be kilobytes (KB), megabytes (MB), or gigabytes (GB).
Values you enter in the Disk Space Soft Limit field should be between 0 and 4095GB.
