Policies view

About the Policies view

A policy is a component of a job that contains a subset of the parameters that control the distribution event. Its definition is independent of the job definition, and it can be used in multiple jobs. The Policies view displays current values of the policies listed in the table.

The check boxes are for display purposes, not user input.

When ContentDirector is first installed, you see only the default policy.

Policy view fields

The following list contains the policy view fields:

Policy Name: the name you assigned to the policy when you created it
Encryption: whether encryption is enabled
Verification: whether verification is enabled
Quorum: the percent of the target devices that must receive the content for a job assignment for the core application to commit the content and complete the distribution event
Retries: the number of times that a failed distribution event will be rerun before the final status is designated as failed
Repushes: the number of times ContentDirector tries to re-send a job to destinations that were not part of the quorum for a successful job
Repush applies only to jobs with quorums of less than 100%.
Compression: the level of data compression
