Parts of the ContentDirector main screen  Top

When you log into the ContentDirector user interface, the first thing that you see is the main screen. The main screen consists of six parts.

View toolbar

contains six icons: Users, Jobs, Sources, Destinations, Policies, and Network. These icons point to views that provide status information for the various components.

Selected view

contains the view selected in the view toolbar. There are two types of views:

Main menu

enables you to create and manage all of the components of ContentDirector.

Main toolbar

enables you to create a new user, job, policy, or destination group, as well as initiate operations pertaining to a specific job.

Status window

provides information from the log files about actions occurring in ContentDirector and the user interface. You can configure the level of detail that is displayed.

Status bar

displays username, transport protocol, core application server name, and database server name.

There is some overlapping functionality between the main menu and the main toolbar. Both enable you to create new components.
