When you create a job, you define all of the parameters that define and control the distribution event that is initiated when you run the job. The information is stored in the database, and jobs can be run more than once. The Jobs view provides configuration and status information about all of the jobs to which you have access.
The following illustration presents the Jobs view.
.
You define configuration information through the user interface when you create or modify a job. The fields in the Jobs view table are blank when you log into the user interface for the first time.
The following fields contain configuration information:
Note
The Quorum field refers to the commit quorum. The commit quorum is the percent of destination servers or NetCaches that must receive a job assignment to complete the distribution event.
Status information is updated as a job runs. The following fields display status information.
The status information displayed in the Jobs view is refreshed periodically. You can configure the refresh rate and the time period for which jobs are displayed through the Preferences menu. See "Configuring job-related displays".
The Status field provides information about the state of the last or the currently running distribution event for the job. This includes such states as completed, aborted, creating the assignment, etc. For detailed information, see Appendix B, Values in the Jobs View Status Field.
While a job is running, a colored diamond appears next to the status designation: The color indicates how the job is progressing.
