ContentDirector creates jobs from content sources that are stored on a filer or a conventional hard drive. The Sources view is a tree display that contains information about the topology, types of transfer, the locations, addresses, and creation date of the sources from which the core application obtains content for job assignments. The protocol of the server is specified, for example, MMS or RTSP.
