Generating a new master key

To create a new master key, complete the following steps.

Step	Action
1	On the main menu, select Tools > Generate Master Key. Result A new master key is generated.
2	Click OK. Result The following message is displayed. The master key is successfully created and stored in the file: <path>/core application/config/master_key_<digits>. Make sure to copy new Master Key to each Group Member.

Activating the new master key on the core application

To activate a new master key on the core application, complete the following steps.

Caution
After activating the new master key on the core application, the old master key becomes invalid. You must also activate the new master key on group members before you can distribute content.

Step	Action
1	Rename the old master key file to back it up.
2	Change the name of the new master key file to master_key.
