About running a job

This example of running a job includes the steps for running a small job and the steps for aborting the job. The job is defined to push a single media file (MMS).

Prerequisites for running a job

To run a job, you need to create the following components.

The source defined with the correct schema, in this case, MMS
The policy (if other than the default policy) configured with the appropriate NetCache parameters
The destination group that specifies the group members to receive the content
The job that specifies the components listed above, the source, and other job parameters

Things to check before you start

It is advisable to check the following things before you run the job:

Adequate storage capacity on the core application machine and the servers of the destination group
In addition, you can check the "Cache Total Space" and the "Cache Locked Space" in the Network Segment screen of the Network view by selecting the cache in question.
Transport groups are functioning properly
This can be determined through Network view of the user interface.
