Modifying and deleting destination groups

Who can modify destination groups

Any system administrator, and the domain administrator for the domain where the destination group resides, can modify the destination group. Users can also modify destination groups if their group user rights permit them to do so.

Reasons to modify destination groups

You might want to change the properties of a destination group if:

You have added a new destination server to your network, and want to include it in an existing destination group
You have deleted a source and substituted a new source, and want to redirect an existing destination group to the new source

All properties of a destination group can be changed, except its name.

Modifying destination groups

To modify a destination group, complete the following steps.

Step	Action
1	At the ContentDirector main screen, on the left tool bar click Destinations.
2	Click the destination groups tab.
3	Right-click the destination group you want to modify.
4	Click Modify.
5	Make the desired changes.
6	Click OK to save your changes and return to the main screen.

Who can delete destination groups

Any system administrator, and the domain administrator for the domain where the destination group resides, can delete the destination group. Users can also delete destination groups if their group user rights permit them to do so.

Deleting destination groups

To delete a destination group, complete the following steps.

Step	Action
1	On the ContentDirector left tool bar click Destinations.
2	Click the destination groups tab.
3	Right-click the destination group you want to delete.
4	Click Delete.
5	Click Yes on the confirmation screen.
