Setting up content distribution resources

Information to gather before you start  

Before you can prepare for content distribution, you need to gather the following basic information:

• Names and locations of source directories and files
• Identity and location of destinations
• Which destinations receive the same content
• How often the content is sent
• Content type
• Approximate maximum size of jobs

Phases of preparing to distribute content  

Preparing to distribute content has the following five phases:

• Set global and user preferences
• Create sources
• Create destination groups
• Create policies
• Create jobs
